EDU 6500 Curriculum Construction

After a small group discussion, our class came up with the following definition of curriculum:

Definition of Curriculum

1.  what you teach, why, when, how
2.  theme teaching
3.  content, standards, materials, experience
4.  implementation of content using assessment to achieve objectives and goals

What does it mean to be an “educated” person as opposed to a “schooled” person?

What type of curriculum would produce an “educated” person?
